My apartment only has a microwave and I want to make some nice vegetarian food...pasta bakes etc...any recipes?

I also like my cheese, onion and potato bake but have only ever made it in an oven- don't know if it's possible in the microwave...also any other ideas. I have a hob, a grill and a microwave.

Is it possible to make rice pudding in the microwave also?My apartment only has a microwave and I want to make some nice vegetarian food...pasta bakes etc...any recipes?
When I was in this position I bought a copy of Sarah Brown's 'Vegetarian Microwave Cookbook'. You can get a secondhand copy on Amazon and there's lots of really good stuff in it.My apartment only has a microwave and I want to make some nice vegetarian food...pasta bakes etc...any recipes?
That is so grim.

Did you know you can buy table top mini ovens? My parents just got one and it's fab (they use it for cooking at the table which is so cool, just sitting there eating your first course and watching your pudding going all yummy).

They got a Kenwood but I think others do them. I'm not talking here about something that is designed to go in a kitchenette, but something designed to go on the dining table. It's really designed for cooking breakfast but you can use it for all sorts of things and perfect for one person.

You might get one on ebay.

Otherwise you can cultivate the art of one-pot cooking doing lots of stir frys, hob top stews.

Good luck
im a vegetarian also there are many things u could do

macaroni and cheese (baked) wit loads of veges and cheese

baked potatoes

steamed veges

heck u can even hav vegetarian pastries baked in ur microwave
