Can you use country sausage in a pasta recipe?

I want to make lasagna rolls with the sausage I have, but it's country style not italian. I think the country style is more like a breakfast sausage so I'm not sure if it would work. Any idea how that would turn out?Can you use country sausage in a pasta recipe?
Your breakfast sausage will change the taste of your lasagne. You might want to create a different baked pasta dish with your breakfast sausage. Perhaps you can saute it along with onion, chopped green peppers, mushrooms and add your Italian seasonings. Make a bechemel sauce and add parmesan. Layer meat and sauce on cooked ziti and top each layer with shredded cheese. Top with sauce and cheese. Can you use country sausage in a pasta recipe?
It would work fine but would not have that certain flavor that Italian sausage has but if you have some fennel seeds, red pepper flakes, garlic powder and black pepper you might add a 1/2 teaspoon (or more to taste) of each and give it a more authentic flavor.
Sure it will work but the results might be questionable. Go ahead and try it. You will never know until you try. That is how new things get discovered.
Sausage is just ground meat! Italian style is usually harder cooked.

Brown your sausage first then slice, cook with onion %26amp; peppers.

Add to your tomato sauce %26amp; pour over the pasta.
I always use italian sausage cause it has more flavor. country sausage doesn't have lots of flavor, not enough spices.
Tomato sauce covers a multitude of sins. Go for it.
