This is a great Sargento recipe. We like it.

Italian Pasta and Veggie Skillet

Ingredients

8 oz. mostaccioli, rotini or penne pasta

2 tsp. olive oil

1 large onion, chopped

1/2 tsp. sugar

1 yellow or green bell pepper, diced

2 cups (8 oz.) sliced mushrooms

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 jar (26 oz.) tomato basil pasta sauce

1 cup (4 oz.) Sargento庐 Shredded Reduced Fat Mozzarella Cheese

1/4 cup chopped basil or Italian parsley

Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle sugar over onion; continue cooking until onion is caramelized and golden, about 5 minutes. Add bell pepper, mushrooms and garlic; cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in pasta sauce; simmer 5 minutes.

Add drained pasta to skillet, tossing to coat. Transfer to serving plates; top with cheese and basil.Would anyone like to share some tasty and easy pasta recipes?(....would like to make with veggies mixed in it)?

I just made this the other night and it was really good:

1/2 pound bow-tie, penne, macaroni, squiggly...any smaller pasta

1 jar alfredo sauce

2 chicken breasts

frozen broccoli

I cooked the chicken in garlic, butter and olive oil until it was no longer visibly pink. I didn't want to cook all the way through b/c you'll bake it in the oven.

Cook the pasta until just al dente.

Warm the sauce in a saucepan. I added cajun spices, garlic, oregano, pepper and a little cayenne.

Drain pasta and pour into 9 x 13 glass dish. Top with chicken and frozen broccoli (as much as you'd like). Pour alfredo sauce on top. I also then topped with some grated monterey jack, but you don't have to do this. Bake for about 15 min and voila! It's done and yummy!
