Pasta recipes please?

I love pasta anyone got any cheap but delicious pasta recipesPasta recipes please?
SPAGHETTI WITH MUSTARD GREENS

12 oz. spaghetti

2 batches of mustard greens

5 strips of bacon, sliced

Olive oil as needed

Pinch of hot pepper flakes

1 small onion, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

4 garlic cloves, chopped

3 oz. white wine

1 can chicken broth

Parsley, chopped to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese to taste

Try to time the pasta so that it鈥檚 done near the time the sauce is finished. I like to remove the pasta a minute or two early and finish it in the sauce. Prep the greens first and then turn on the heat for the pasta water as you start making the sauce. If the final sauce needs a little fluid you can always add some of the pasta water. Therefore, make sure you save a little bit before draining the pasta.

Remove the stems from the mustard greens, break them into smaller pieces with your hands and wash them thoroughly. Cut the bacon into small pieces and saut茅 it in the olive oil with the hot pepper until crisp. Do not drain the bacon fat. Add the onion and saut茅 until soft. Add the mustard greens a batch at a time with salt and pepper, adding more oil if necessary. When they are all incorporated add the garlic and saut茅 until the greens are fully wilted. Deglaze the pan with the white wine and reduce to at least half. Add the chicken broth, bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer. Finish the pasta in the sauce, add the parsley and serve with the Parmesan cheese.

Pasta recipes please?
Pasta is my absolute favourite and I'm always looking for new recipes. One of my favourites which is cheap but really flavoursome is to slowly cook a tin of tomatoes with a clove of garlic and a small handful of chopped rosemary. Add to cooked spaghetti with a little of the pasta water and grate parmesan over the top. Simple, but really good. You can also use this sauce as a base - crumble over some goat's cheese or feta, stir through some chopped black olives, add some toasted pine nuts - whatever you fancy.

UKTV Food has a top 10 pasta recipe page http://uktv.co.uk/food/homepage/sid/5914 - with lots of good ideas, including the ultimate pasta and meatballs by Nigella Lawson.

GARLIC %26amp; OIL PASTA (AGLIO E OLIO)

Per Person

INGREDIENTS

1 clove of garlic

1 tablespoon of olive oil

125ml of water

录 of a teaspoon of salt

100g of spaghetti

Ground pepper to taste

METHOD

Peel the garlic and chop it into tiny pieces.

Put the oil into a frying pan on a moderate heat. Add the garlic. Fry the garlic for about 5 minutes until it is brown, stirring to stop it sticking.

Put the water and salt into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Put the pasta into the water. Stir it to stop it sticking to the bottom of the pan. Bring back to the boil and continue to cook, stirring to stop it sticking.

Begin testing it about 2 minutes before the packet instructions say it should be done. The best way to judge if pasta is cooked is to bite it. This is tricky, because if you fish out a bit and stick in your mouth you may burn your mouth on the boiling water. Wait a bit and blow on it, then bite it. If it is hard it needs longer. If it is chewy (or 鈥榓l dente鈥? Italian for 鈥榯o the teeth鈥? it is ready. If it is soft it is overcooked.

Drain the pasta in a sieve or colander. Season with the pepper.

Always 鈥榯ake the pasta to the sauce鈥? Put the pasta in the pan with the sauce and stir until thoroughly coated.

ADDITIONS %26amp; ALTERNATIVES

Use any other long thin plain pasta, like linguine (thin and flat), tagliolini (very thin and flat) or spaghettini (very thin and round), instead of spaghetti.

For Garlic %26amp; Parsley Pasta, add 25g per person of fresh parsley. Wash, shake dry and finely chop the parsley. Add the parsley just before serving.

For Garlic %26amp; Anchovy Pasta, add 13g (录 of a 50g tin) per person of anchovy fillets in olive oil. If you are using the whole tin, use the oil from this to fry the garlic. Add the anchovies to the garlic after the 5 minutes, and mash up until smooth.

For Garlic, Anchovy %26amp; Olive Pasta, add 2 or 3 pitted black olives and 2 or 3 pitted (or anchovy stuffed?) green olives per person to the Garlic %26amp; Anchovy Pasta just before serving.

TIPS

If you use enough water, add the pasta when the water is boiling, stir the pasta and don鈥檛 wander off (鈥楪li spaghetti amano la compagnia鈥?or 鈥榮paghetti loves company鈥? and don鈥檛 overcook it, adding olive oil to the water to stop it sticking is totally unnecessary.

My mama used to call this pasta casserole .

Ingredients: 1 egg, 1 can Campbell's (or other) Cream of Mushroom soup, 1 small jar or can of mushrooms, 1 10 ounce can of chunk white tuna (any brand), 1 small can of green peas, 10 ounces of milk or condensed milk, 1 bag of grated cheese. 1 cup of butter or margarine.

1 box or bag of medium shell pasta.

In a casserole bowl, break and whip the egg. Stir in the tuna. Add the Cream of Mushroom soup and the milk. Stir well. Add the peas and the mushrooms, including the liquid contents of the cans. Stir. Put the butter or margarine on top and don't stir.

In a pot or pan, bring water to a boil and cook the pasta. Drain and add to the other contents. Stir well until there are no traces of the butter or margarine (I use Parkay in a tub, by the way).

Add the cheese on top. (Use your favorite. I like sharp cheddar, but any cheese will work.)

Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes in the casserole bowl--covered.

I fry up a pound of ground beef crumbled. Then drain off fat. Then 3 cups of water and 3 packets of beef gravy mix. Maybe some veggies to taste and any seasoning to taste. In another pot I boil 2 quarts of water and add a 12 oz package of wide noodles. cook till done, drain. Then mix the two together. Makes a bunch! And Tastes soooo good.
