They do make fat free cream.Substitute for double cream? I have a tuna pasta recipe that calls for double cream but i would like to use a?
As Rachael Ray says ';use whatever you use in your morning coffee'; but since I drink Fat Free French Vanilla I take it to mean half and half or even milk. Use what you have on hand, only you will know the difference.
As a tip if your using cream of mushroom soup, my real suggestion is to use water to dilute the creamed soup mixture - you WILL NEVER KNOW the difference, I promise. When making the cream soup (Campbells specifically) It says to dilute with can of water, not milk - and I do, because otherwise you get these awful little ';balls'; of creamy mixture that just aren't right! Good luck, hope I helped.
Half %26amp; Half
Milk
Evaporated Milk (canned)
skim milk or half and half.
you can also whip heavy cream to double the volume and therefore use half as much cream.
any milk especially skim ,1%
or 2%
Yes, use heavy cream which has a fat content of 36%. Double cream would have a fat content of 48%. So heavy cream would do the trick.
