Just boil the pasta
Cook the shrimp and add to the alfredo sauce
I have a great recipe for Shrimp Primavera. Chop 1 large onion and 1 bell pepper. Saute them in 1/2 cup melted butter ( Iknow it sound like a lot but it isn't) not margarine. While they are sauteing and 2 heaping table spoons of Tony's. Once they have finished sweating add your shrimp. After about 2 minute they will be almost done throw some freshley chrushed and chopped garlic in with them, about 2 or 3 cloves and another 1/4 cup of butter. Once the butter has melted add 3/4 pint of heavy whipping cream. You must pay close attention to your pan now cause cream will stick easily and ruin your meal. While your sauce is simmering make yourself a roux. If you don't know how it's easy just use equal parts butter and flour, melt your butter over medium heat once it is melted just add your flour slowly,if it looks a little dry give it about 30 sec it should start to release the butter by then. If it still doesnt just add a little more butter, if its to wet just add a little more flour. It should resemble really really thick cake batter. Now that your roux has cooked for a few minutes, oh yeah i can't stress enough to keep it moving if it schorches its ruined, just add it to your rapidly boiling pan stir very well to make sure all is combined and there are no lumps. cook your noodles and your set to wine and dine. I have lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast all my life. Have you ever seen that movie Forrest Gump, well Bubba don't have **** on me when it comes shrimp recipes.
Ingredients:
1.5-2 lb peeled shrimp (about 20 count not to big not to small)
1 large onion
1 bell pepper (try for red it looks better maybe yellow)
3/4 pint heavy whipping cream
3/4 cups butter
2-3 tbsp Tony Chacheries *sp creole seasoning
2-3 cloves garlic
salt-pepper
Roux ingredients:
1/3 c flour
1/3 c butter
just add the roux slowly to your food you can always put more you can't take it out. The last thing you want is a big blob over hot noodles. I guess i didn't say earlier what the roux is for it is a thickener. you could always use corn starch diluted in hot water if your in a rush. the same rules apply though add it slowly.
its not an alfredo but its still good. But like all new recipes I always advise you to make it before hand that way you know for surehow long it takes to cook and how it tastes to you.
Baby Shrimp Scampi and Angel Hair Pasta
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, 2 turns of the pan
2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
1 large shallot, finely chopped
1 lemon, zested

1/4 cup dry vermouth or white wine, eyeball it
1/2 cup grape tomatoes
1/3 pound angel hair pasta, cooked to al dente
Salt and pepper

Get your pasta water going. Start the scampi sauce when you drop your pasta into boiling water to cook.
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add extra-virgin olive oil and melt the butter into it. Add shallots and cook a minute or 2, stirring constantly. Add lemon zest and shrimp and heat shrimp through, another minute or two. Add vermouth or wine and tomatoes. Toss another minute to heat the tomatoes through. Add cooked pasta to the pan and toss to coat evenly in sauce and to distribute the shrimp. Season liberally with salt and pepper and serve with chives to garnish.
Shrimp Alfredo over Angel Hair Pasta
You can buy fresh shrimp and clean them.. but if you aren't as experienced in that aspect, you can always buy frozen, pre-peeled raw shrimp. You can make an Alfredo Sauce, or you can cheat and buy one in the jar... just as yummy So lets assume you are cheating:
This dish comes together very quickly, so have your garlic bread and salads ready...
One bag frozen large or jumbo prepeeled raw shrimp. (1-1/2 pounds)The tails are left on.. leave them on.
2 jars Alfredo Sauce
1 to 1 1/2 pound(s) angel hair pasta ( dont get the generic store brand it gets clumpy)
2-3 small sahllots
2-3 cloves garlic
Put frozen shrimp in cold water and allow to thaw.
drain the shrimp, pat dry
Boil salted water, add 1 tsp EVOO to water
mince your shallots and garlic
Add 2 Tablespoons EVOO and 2 TBSP butter to skillet on medum heat and then toss shallots and garlic in pan. Add shrimp. turn after a minute and cook other side. They are done QUICKLY! so as soon as the opaqueness is gone, they are done! anything over that will overcook them. Take the shrimp out and set them in a bowl, add the jared alfredo and return the shrimp when it's warmed through and the noodles are done. They go fast! Just a matter of a couple of minutes. So I have everything ready sauce warming and shrimp ready to put back in and water preboiled and ready to go, excuse myself, go into the kitchen, bring the water back up to a boil, reheat the sauce, add the shrimnp to warm through drain the pasta put it in a pasta bowl, then add the shrimp and sauce and toss in a grating of parmesean cheese. Use the good stuff and stay away from the canned garbage. They will think you went to Culinary school...
BTW, there are also Angel hair pasta Birds nest, that look like birds nests.. you drop them in the water and pull them out with a strainer, The birds nest serves as a bowl ( if you will ) to hold your favorite toppings and can be quite attractive on a plate. The secret to it, is not to stir it, or the nests break up.
