Need a good, cheap pasta based recipe for crowd?

I am having some really big eaters over for a buffet dinner. I need to use angelhair pasta and the budget is slim.Need a good, cheap pasta based recipe for crowd?
For a quicko-cheapo alternative to higher priced pastas, take a jar of your favorite Italian Spaghetti sauce and mix it with a jar of 4 Cheese Alfredo Sauce. Saute hot turkey Italian sausage (casings removed) and 1/2 yellow onion (diced) and add to the sauce. Add sliced black olives, sundried tomatoes (opt.) and toss with your angel hair pasta. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. If you want, you can layer this mixture with shredded Italian Blend Cheese and top with parmesan and breadcrumbs and a little butter and bake it. Alfredo, I know it sounds expensive but it costs less than a traditional tomato meat sauce. And it looks and tastes elegant. Google for great recipes. Allrecipe or recipezar has a feature where you can change the amount of people served which is very handy for shopping. Hit the big box stores for the ingredients like Costco or Smart and Final. If you want to make things go really quickly you can par-cook the pasta %26amp; cool it. Then briefly dip it in boiling water before saucing it. A trick for Alfredo is to heat the cream, butter and nutmeg a long with the white pepper and mix the Parmesan cheese right in the bowl. No clumps!
i always find that baked ziti goes over well, doesnt cost much to make, and is yummy. i would do it with a meatless sause though since so many ppl these days dont eat beef
