Can anybody give me a recipe for an Italian gar lick pasta recipe and what you can take to help the breath?

My friend loves Pasta and garlick and I have promised her to cook her this dish O.K.showing off a bit not snogged yet still if we both eat it it will not matter about the garlick tasteCan anybody give me a recipe for an Italian gar lick pasta recipe and what you can take to help the breath?
Easy, this one, I love garlicky pasta too!

Try this: Pasta Fagioli:

Fry half a finely chopped onion and 2-3 crushed %26amp; chopped cloves of garlic until soft. Add in some smoked diced bacon (2-3 rashers is good). When that has cooked, drain a can of borlotti beans to get rid of the water and tip them in. Then add a can of chopped tomatoes. Stir together and bubble a couple of minutes. Tip in a good quantity of ditali pasta (the little semi-tubes, look like hula hoops!). Then bubble until the pasta is soft. Add more water from the kettle if it looks like it is drying up but don't make it too liquidy.

This meal is just yum - you can also sprinkle in some dried rosemary towards the end of cooking.

Serve, with parmesan to sprinkle over - and a good glass of wine.

PS If your sauce looks too liquid, take out a mugful of the beans and sauce and blitz in a blender %26amp; return to the pan. It will thicken it. Also it's a one pan dinner so not much washing up!!

Oh and don't worry about the breath - if you both eat it you won't notice, also garlic is an aphrodisiac in case you didn't know!! If you are worried about the garlic smell, you can chew on a parsley leaf, which takes the taste away but to be honest it is not very romantic to hand your lady a parsley leaf after dinner!! If she loves garlic, you will be fine!! Good luck !Can anybody give me a recipe for an Italian gar lick pasta recipe and what you can take to help the breath?
Chew fresh parsley for the breath
With garlic, something to always bear in mind is that the smaller it's chopped up, the stronger it will taste. If you use crushed garlic it will be quite intense.

A good way to get the garlic flavour without it being overpowering would be to gently heat a couple of halved cloves in some cooking oil or butter to allow the flavour to slowly release into the fat, then remove them before adding the pasta. To keep it very simple you could then just toss the pasta in this mixture and sprinkle in some chopped fresh basil and serve it with black pepper and parmesan cheese.

You can add garlic using the same method when making other sauces.

For a simple tomato sauce for two , use two cans of whole plum tomatoes, a spoonful of butter (2 of of oil), salt, and pepper. Put the tomatoes in a pan, seeds juice and all. Take two garlic cloves and put them into the sauce whole. Peel an onion half it and put the two halfs into the sauce, put the lid on the pan. Then go away and let it simmer gently for an hour- stir now and then. When you come back remove the onion halves and the garlic cloves. At this point you can add other things such as chopped basil, cream or mascapone cheese if you so desire.

One of the easiest sauces to make, and utterly delicious

If you are both eating garlic the breath thing shouldn't be important. brushing your teeth well will probably be enough.. Like I said you can have that flavour without it being so intense that you have breath like a dragon for the next two days
Try chopping garlic finely and frying it gently in good olive oil with some oregano and finely chopped red chilli, when it's warmed through toss through some cooked spaghetti......as for the garlic breath, try chewing on some parsley....
If you do not want broccoli in it just leave it out but its really good with it.

GARLIC BROCCOLI WITH PASTA

1 lg. head broccoli

1 lg. head garlic (chopped)

1 1/4 c. and 1/8 c. olive oil

1 tbsp. butter

1/4 c. dry parsley or 1/2 c. fresh

1 tsp. salt

Pepper to taste

Salt to taste

6 oz. whole milk Mozzarella

1 lb. Rigatoni or lg. pasta

Grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Put up large pot of water to boil for pasta. Cut flowerettes off broccoli and discard stems. Microwave on high power for 3 minutes or steam broccoli until tender. Place 1 1/4 cup olive oil, butter, and garlic in large fry pan and cook over minimum heat until oil sizzles. Add parsley, pepper, and salt and stir.

Turn heat to simmer 1/2 minute; do not brown garlic. Add broccoli and stir to coat. Dice Mozzarella and distribute over top of broccoli. Cover and simmer until cheese melts, about 10 minutes.

While garlic broccoli is simmering, add 1/8 cup olive oil and 1 teaspoon salt to boiling water; drop in pasta. When pasta is done, drain and place on plates. Top with garlic broccoli. Top with grated cheese. Serves 2 as a meal, 4 as a side dish.

Brush your teeth after eating - you will both be fine.
