Penne Arrabiata

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 clove garlic, chopped

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes -- or more if brave

1 stem fresh rosemary, chopped, or 1 tablespoon dried

5 fresh basil leaves or 1 tablespoon dried

1 large can crushed tomatoes

1/3 cup red wine

Salt and pepper

1 pound box penne pasta or rigatoni, cooked according to package directions

In skillet, saut茅 garlic, rosemary and red pepper flakes in oil. Add tomatoes, wine, salt and pepper. Cook on medium heat. When sauce begins to bubble, stir and add basil. Reduce heat; cook for 15 minutes or until thickened. Toss with cooked penne or rigatoni. Makes 4 servings.
I like to fix this sometimes and the kids love it too...

Sautee some garlic and onions in olive oil and put a can of diced tomatoes (italian seasoned), salt and pepper for a quick sauce to mix with your penne and top with parmesan cheese or cheese of choice. It's also a great side with with grilled chicken or shrimp.
Black olives, diced tomatoes (even canned is okay), basil and olive oil. Sautee. Add cooked penne. Top with grated romano or parmesan. Yum!!
One tried and true ingredient to add to any pasta recipe, hot or cold, is Italian dressing, It coats the pasta evenly without making it too heavy. Throw in some grated Parmesan cheese and parley flakes and toss. This can be served alone or with chicken - hot or cold.

Cook the penne in water with a little bit of oil and salt and keep it aside. Drizzle it with some oil. Take a pan, add some Olive oil, Garlic. Dice some Zucchini, Mushrooms and Eggplant and saute it in the pan after adding a pinch of salt. Add some Italian blend herbs and some bottled pasta sauce and a pinch of sugar. Add some cheese if you like after taking it off the stove. Enjoy!
Penne Alfredo

1 stick butter

1 pint heavy whipping cream

1 Tbsp. Cream cheese

1/4-1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 box cooked pasta

Melt the stick of butter in a saucepan. Add cream cheese and melt (it will still be lumpy). Add whipping cream and heat- do not boil! A few small bubbles are ok, but a boil is bad. When hot, add parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix with pasta. Voila!
Cook it. Put butter and a pinch of salt on it. Good!
Cook it.

Dump in speghetti sauce and half a loaf of velvita cheese.
Penne with Five Cheeses

Kosher salt

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup crushed tomatoes in thick tomato puree

1/2 cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano (1 1/2 ounces)

1/2 cup shredded imported Italian fontina (1 1/2 ounces)

1/4 cup crumbled Italian Gorgonzola (1 1/2 ounces)

2 tablespoons ricotta cheese

1/4 pound fresh mozzarella, sliced

6 fresh basil leaves, chopped

1 pound imported penne rigate pasta

4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.

Bring 5 quarts of salted water to a boil in a stockpot.

Combine all the ingredients except the penne and butter in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.

Drop the penne into the boiling water and parboil for 4 minutes. Drain well in a colander and add to the ingredients in the mixing bowl, tossing to combine.

Divide the pasta mixture among 6 shallow ceramic gratin dishes (1 1/2 to 2-cup capacity). Dot with the butter and bake until bubbly and brown on top, 7 to 10 minutes.
I dont know one off hand. But I always check www.allrecipes.com whenever I need a recipe. You just type in what u want and serch. You will find tonnes!
Brown any or all of the following to taste, salt and pepper, oregano fresh or flakes, onions, garlic, bacon, red pepper flakes, capers, green olives, mushrooms is sauce pan or large skillet. After about five minutes when cooked but not carmalized, add a can of crushed tomatoes, or break up some whole canned tomatoes if you like bigger pieces and cook on medium high heat stirring occasionally for another 10 minutes, add the pasta and stir for 30 seconds, You can add some Parmesan cheese as well, I like to have some melted in the sauce ad well as a little on top.

Start your water before you start the sauce, you can add a little salt if you like, but no oil. Drain your your pasta but DONT rinse it, the sauce wont stick as well if you rinse it. Use the cooking time as a maximum and test it when it gets close you want to see a little at the center still not cooked. Drain thoroughly and mix it in the sauce cooking as per above and stir for about 1 minute, and serve. If you like to have extra sauce take some out before you mix the pasta in.

Keep the sides simple, just a quick mixed salad with a few veggies of your choice and a simple olive oil and basal mac or raspberry vinegar will do nice and some garlic bread, and of course the wine.

Yo should be able to throw the whole meal together in less than 25 minutes.

Have fun
Brown 1 package bacon, crumble and set aside.

Put in a pot 1/2 liter sweet cream and 1/2 liter half and half. Simmer slowly.

Take 2 egg yolks and mix with a bit of cream mixture, slowly, being careful that it doesn't curdle (then you'd have scrambled eggs with cream). Add carefully to the pot.

Chop half a cup of parsley. Add to cream and add crumbled bacon, too.

Pour cooked penne in the pan with the cream sauce. Serve with parmesan cheese and you have just made Pasta Carbonara!
Buy a container of Alouette garlic %26amp; herb cheese spread (or another brand equivalent), cook a package of penne pasta, drain, and toss in the cheese spread while the pasta is still hot. It's a quick-and-easy cheesy pesto, and lower fat.

An easy addition is to buy frozen spinach, microwave it, and toss with the pasta and cheese. And/or cut up cooked chicken breasts and toss in. Or see what other veggies, herbs, or meats are in your fridge and toss them in. :-)
So easy!
