I want a SIMPLE pasta salad recipe?

PLEASE. All the recipes I see are really complicated or have too much stuff. I don't want bacon, cheese, corn, etc. Just pasta and black olives. Would I use mayo or some kind of oil? I'd rather have it creamy than oily, but light.I want a SIMPLE pasta salad recipe?
don't put any oil in the water you cook the pasta in, or it won't absorb the sauce. Classic style you'd put chopped olives, pimento, grated carrots, chopped celery, chopped onions and some mayonnaise, about 2 tsp mustard and a tblspoon of ketchup. But you can't go wrong with anything, try italian salad dressing, olives, artichoke hearts and red pepper or frozen pesto, green peas and julienned zuchinni and carrots.I want a SIMPLE pasta salad recipe?

Servings: 2 Servings; can be doubled.

1/2 cup black olives or green olives

Cook pasta in medium pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite. Drain pasta; rinse under cold water and drain well.

Grate enough lemon peel to measure 1/2 teaspoon. Squeeze enough juice from lemon to measure 1 1/2 tablespoons. Place lemon peel and juice in medium bowl. Whisk in oil. Mix in carrot, olives, and chives, then pasta. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Let stand 10 minutes to blend flavors.

hope these help. good luck and enjoy.
I used to make this recipe and take it with me on picnics...

- Tortelini (cheese filled) or whatever other pasta cooked (you could use corkscrew or penne)

- Roasted Red Pepper, sliced (just darken the pepper's skin over the stovetop flame - pierce the pepper with a fork to hold the pepper over flame and for safety - or put under broiler until pepper's skin gets blackened - you can also buy roasted peppers in a jar)

- Tomatoes

- Onions

- Sundried Tomatoes, soaked and then sliced

- Black Olives

- Garlic, peeled and minced (optional)

- Basil

- Parsley

- Thyme

- Lemon Juice

- Olive Oil

- Parmesan Cheese

- Salt

- Pepper

- Grilled Chicken (sliced) or Fish (I use King Fish Steak)

In a pan bring to heat a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil... add the garlic, onions, salt, and pepper on medium heat to sautee, then add the tomatoes and sautee as well... Add all the other ingredients to the pan and heat through... saving the parmesan cheese for last five minutes of cooking... top with extra parmesan at the end....

I know some people don't like parmesan with fish so you can use chicken... but I like the fish with this dish too... especially with the brightness of the lemon juice and olive oil (the parmesan tastes good with it)...

You can eat this dish warm, cold or room temparature.... and can even store it in the fridge for a snack...
