A recipe says to use 3 cups of COOKED pasta... what would this measurement be uncooked?!?!?

pasta will expand and not quite double in size so in case u need 3 cups of cooked u will use like 1 and a half uncooked xx A recipe says to use 3 cups of COOKED pasta... what would this measurement be uncooked?!?!?
Pasta usually doubles in size. The best bet to be sure is to measure out at least 2 cups of uncooked pasta and cook it. You may have some leftovers but pasta is cheap and you can use the leftovers in another recipe perhaps. A recipe says to use 3 cups of COOKED pasta... what would this measurement be uncooked?!?!?
Pasta will increase in volume about 2.5 to 3 times when cooked. One cup of pasta = 2.5 to 3 cups of cooked pasta.
the side of the box should tell you a serving size and how much it equals in either ml or oz once cooked.
I didn't think pasta changed in size, only rice doubles?
I would try 1 1/2 cups.
My guess would be about 1 cup of uncooked.
No one cup should do the trick
